To best remember traditions that take place during celebration, I encourage students to think about them in the context of the their 5 Sense: Touch, Sight, Hearing, Taste, Smell. Below are some examples of various celebrations, and examples of things we may see in each.
Halloween

Cultural Foods vs. Traditional Foods
Cultural Foods: a cultural food is any food that comes from a specific country or region. This food could be eaten daily, as there is no specific day one should eat it.

Traditional Foods: a traditional is a food which is eaten on a specific day(s) or during a specific celebration. This could NOT be eaten any day in the year.
