Dear Parents and Guardians,
There are four students sick in 2E with fever. We need to take a proactive approach in order to prevent further spread of illness in the classroom.
Please check your child’s temperature in the morning before school. Watch for signs or symptoms of flu or respiratory illness. Symptoms might include:
- muscle pain
- sore throat
If your child has any of these symptoms keep them at home and see a doctor. Please report any illness to the school and provide any sick leave from the doctor. If a student develops these symptoms at school then the parents will be called and sent home immediately. Do not send your child back to school until completely recovered.
According to guidelines from the CHP of the Dept. of Health, and school policy, a student must be fever free for 48 hours and recovered before coming back to school. If a student returns before this time the student will be sent home. Please follow a doctor’s sick leave, or the 48 hr fever free policy, whichever is longer.
Please follow the fever reference chart below, provided by the CHP (HK Department of Health).

The school has been taking every precaution to prevent the spread of illness and following the guidelines provided by the Department of Health. We have taken precautions within the class to minimize the transmission of germs. However, cooperation with parents is vital to stop the spread of illness.
